Born and raised in Sarzana, Italy, Chef Matteo Mistura grew up in a family of restaurateurs and hoteliers. Young Matteo was thrusted into the kitchen at his parent’s hotel-restaurant Laurina in Sarzana, near Cinque Terre. Always his favorite spot in the hotel, the kitchen was a place where his mother, the restaurant Chef, started his training. Foundations were built and passion instilled, so much that Matteo has never doubted that culinary arts was to be his destiny.
Five years of culinary schooling in Lerici, Italy, complimented the practical cooking background of his youth. Cooking in Italy for over 15 years, followed by another 5 years abroad at the finest restaurants from Jakarta to Philadelphia to his culminating post as the award-winning Chef at Ferraro’s Ristorante and Bar at Maui’s Four Seasons Resort has provided Chef Matteo with an understanding of the intricacies of a successfully catered event. The result today is a perfect mix of natural talent, polish and the full understanding of what it takes to be a true host.

AppetizersEnjoy Matteo's wonderful appertizers like this "Hot Artichoke" with Fire Roasted Artichoke, Garlic and Parmesan Cheese and Crunchy Focaccia Bread. Great for sharing at the table with family and friends.
The Anitpasto with black olives, salami, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and tomato salad with house flat bread is also a crowd pleaser and you can't go wrong with the sicilian garbanzo bean dip or the parmesan and parsley garlic bread.

Matteo can also reserve a portion of his restaurant for your wedding party, family gathering or business celebration. We offer family style and/or buffet. Matteos can hold up to 130 persons inside the dining area and up to 200 inclusive of using the courtyard area. Live music, videos and screens are allowed.
